There is widespread coverage of the government’s re-think on the Royal Mail in today’s press.
Many commentators credit the vigorous campaign to Keep the Post Public for making sure that backbench Labour MPs pressured the government in to dropping the sell off.
You can read some of the coverage here:

This would not have happened without the efforts of thousands of CWU members and supporters demanding that we keep the post public.
The support of many backbench MPs was also critical - you can see if your MP supported the campaign by signing our motion here:

Why not send a note of thanks to all those MPs who stood firm and represented the public opposition to privatising the post?
We will need their continuing support now as we campaign to secure the Royal Mail a successful future in public ownership, with fairer regulation to stop private companies exploiting our postal service and a solution to the pensions shortfall caused by the last Conservative government.
